NCDATT is the advocacy, and reference group on national issues affecting trades, apprenticeship, and technology education and training in Canada.
NCDATT is national network of like-minded individuals who champion the development of apprenticeship, trades and technology professionals in Canada. Regular Members are senior administrators in the public post-secondary system who manage apprenticeship, trades and / or technology programs. Others from organizations that have similar goals with respect to skilled workers in the country participate as Affiliate Members. Affiliate members include organizations such as: CiCan, CAF-FCA, Canadian Armed Forces, and Polytechnics Canada. Individuals who support the goals of NCDATT may also join as Affiliate Members.
NCDATT is the merger of two organizations, NCDoT, the National Council of Deans of Technology and CDTAC, the Council of Deans of Trades and Apprenticeship Canada; both had operated since the 1990’s. NCDoT and CDTAC amalgamated in 2019 to become NCDATT, National Deans of Apprenticeship, Trades and Technology.

The NCDATT Board of Directors is comprised of the regional representatives as well as a Past Co-Chair and Member at Large.
In order to give equal voice to both trades / apprenticeship, and technology interests, the board has 2 Co-chairs, one representing trades and apprenticeship and the other representing technologies. Board executive positions include: the two Co-Chairs, Treasurer/Secretary, and Past Co-Chair.
The NCDATT board meets several times per year to discuss pertinent issues to the organization and to organize and plan the bi¬annual (fall and spring) meetings and professional development activities. The member institutions take turns hosting meetings. Meeting locations generally alternate east to west.
